ABOUT MARA

Mara is running for the Arizona House of Representative in Legislative District 16 to better our community through quality education, fostering economic growth, less government interference and strong family values.

Mara has been a small business owner in the community for almost 13 years. Mara is Director of the Residential Division at Bliss Lieberman Realty & Investments. She has received multiple awards for the “Young Professionals Top 40 under 40” by the Southeast Valley Regional Association of Realtors (SEVRAR) as well as serving on the Real Estate Board as a Director. Mara serves on multiple committees at SEVRAR as well volunteering for local non-profits.

Mara has been active in local Republican politics, serving as First Vice Chairwoman, Precinct Committeeman, and a State Committeeman for Legislative District 16. In 2014, Mara graduated from the Arizona Republican Party’s “Dodie Londen Series,” a training program for candidates.

Mara Benson is a 17-year Arizona resident, wife and mother of two children. Mara is originally from Washington State and the oldest of four children. While growing up her father served as a US Marine and a Millwright, while her mother was dedicated housewife.

Mara currently lives in Mesa with her husband PJ, their son Tyler and daughter Amber. Tyler is a Tier 1 AAA Hockey Player for the Arizona Bobcats and Amber is a competitive Figure Skater for the Copper State Skating Club out of the AZ Ice Gilbert Rink.
